well lets c after practice yesterday went to FIU to go watch a softball game and than went over my baBies casa w. lyns and marcial to watch that white castle movie yes i so knocked out ...around 12:30 i woke up cuz lyns and marcial and to leave so w.e me and james jus went ot his room and i fell asleep and i woke up again lyk @ 3:10 am and i was lyk yea i g2g so w.e i left and hten this morning i had practice and holly poopie i was actually the first person there...i am usually the late one...i was proud of myself :) ! and then....piked up my baBy and we went to sunset place w. my lil sister w.e bought sum cloths then i dropped off my lil sister @ home and then went to my baBez house 4 a lil and then i went and took him to w0rk....and yea i am jus gunna prob iron my hair cuz really i ahve nutthin better to do....lol and even though i dont need a iron my hair its str8 already i guess i jus want it more str8....so yea hmm im outtie stephs bday is sooo soon !!

Saturday - skipped sat class :-o ! and stayed @ my babys house till around 5ish and we wnet and piked up jcz and went to stephs house chilled there till around 7 cuz i had tro dtrop james bak off @ home...so yea dropped him off and than me and steph started to get ready to go to the party....and than i went bak to james house dressed him and htan we left ot the party it was cool but it ended to early so me mike steph and james came to my house stayed here till about 3:30 and yea pretty much it...it was cool beans...

Varela joins softball elite

If those names aren't familiar, they will be soon.

They're the core group of Varela's softball team, the ''new kids'' trying to join Southwest and Palmetto -- the past two Class 6A state champions -- among Miami-Dade County's elite softball teams.

''Those three are a big part of our team, but they haven't carried us alone,'' Varela coach Steve Batten said. ``We've had a lot of different players make key plays in each game.''

After a loss to eventual Class 6A state champion Southwest last year, Batten felt his young team still had a long way to go before it could contend with the Eagles and star pitcher Missy Penna.

But earlier this season, Mesh and Barrow each had clutch hits to lead the Vipers to their first-ever win against Penna and Southwest.

The Vipers (13-0) have not let up since, ascending to the No. 1 spot in The Herald's county rankings.

''[Barrow] has improved her control and has better command of her changeup and curveball this year,'' Batten said of the junior, who earned All-Dade first-team honors last season. ``And I would match up our infield against anyone else's. They've made some great plays so far.''

That infield -- which consists of Mesh at third base, Carreño at shortstop, sophomore Jenny Sanchez at second, junior Jenny Airado at first and junior Cindy Castrillon behind the plate -- has committed just six errors this year.

The infield turned four double plays in a 6-0 victory against Class 5A Stuart South Fork as Varela cruised to the championship of the Sebastian River Invitational last weekend.

Barrow, Mesh, Carreño and Castrillon each earned all-tournament honors, and Barrow pitched a no-hitter against Sebastian River.

The Vipers, who dueled Palmetto for 13 innings before losing 3-2 in last year's regional quarterfinals, won't face the Panthers unless they meet at the GMAC tournament or in the playoffs.

But Monday, they get their next crack at Southwest, which won the prestigious SlamFest tournament last week.

''I continue to tell them not to get too caught up with what we've done so far because, honestly, we haven't done anything yet,'' Batten said. ``The real season begins next month in districts.''
